Grades 5 & 6
The Scholars are a combination of fifth and sixth graders. As new Middle School students, they assume a new level of responsibility for and autonomy in their studies. They explore their identities and form a supportive social network. Within the structure of the classes the students have opportunity to work independently or with peers alongside group and one on one instruction. They are taught to be true scholars—posing questions and challenges for themselves and each other and undertaking substantial long-term research, composition, and creative projects.
