Forum

Forum is the Middle School counterpart to our Lower School's Good Morning Program. Forum combines public speaking, debate, and discussion with community service. Three days a week, students gather to deliver presentations and performances followed by group discussions. Because topics are driven by student interest, Forum can feature anything from a piano performance, to a discussion of democracy in Turkey, to a physics lesson. Visitors are struck by the sophistication of both the student presentations and the of the peer discussions the presenters lead afterwards.

Forum presentations feature a rich variety of audio-visual aids ranging from live performance and video recordings to poster presentations and models. Students also frequently use our SMART Board for interactive slide shows.Click here to see how one sixth grader used a slide show to illustrate his Forum presentation on the economics and aesthetics of food production.
