Music

Lower School students enjoy music class twice a week. They learn the fundamentals of music composition, performance, and appreciation through stimulating activities ranging from improvisations on international instruments, to visits to the Symphony, to formal recorder lessons.

Julia Kay carries herself with rhythm and a smile. When not teaching music or giving private lessons at Academy Hill, Julia teaches orchestra and plays in several local bands, from classical to swing to gypsy jazz.
