Get a taste of the Chinese language and culture. This Adventure will introduce you to the challenging and intriguing language and ancient culture of China. This class is for all levels.

Literary Journal

Grades 2-8

This Adventure is open to anyone who likes to write or draw. You may write poems, short stories, or informative articles on the topic of your choice. Your hand-drawn pictures are also welcome. At the end of the year, receive a literary journal featuring the work of all participants.

Sports

Grades K-8

This program will involve fun, fitness, and the understanding of sports strategies and concepts. Activities are held outdoors unless the weather is inclement. Appropriate attire (sneakers, loose, comfortable clothing) is a must.

SSAT Prep

Grades 5-8

This course is equivalent to those offered by tutoring companies at a much higher cost. Receive valuable help preparing for the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). We suggest our students take this test as 7th or 8th graders. Course materials designed by a major test preparation company. Includes a diagnostic test, a textbook, flashcards, and a graded practice test.

Get a serious head start on homework in a quiet, facilitated environment. Enjoy the use of school research resources. Learn study and organizational skills. Get help with studying or with difficult problems.

National History Day
Tuesdays, 3:15-4:45
Grades 6 through 8.

National History Day is a contest that rewards outstanding historical research at the district, state, and national levels. Students will use classtime to hone research and writing skills as they work on a project of their choice--an essay, documentary, performance, or website on any historical topic--for competitions beginning in February. Healthy Sprouts Café

Grades K-3

Each day your child will become the farmer, cultivator, chef, and food critic. Here we will create no-cook, healthy, tasty treats using seasonal fruits & vegetables. At the Healthy Sprouts Café we will learn about fall harvests by planting different seeds and caring for them. Also, we will be incorporating fall crafts using nature as our theme. And, of course in balance with all things healthy, we will be learning simple exercises to keep our mind and body strong, fit, and focused.

Come experience the life of a Crime Scene Investigator. Each day we will explore the complicated and high tech experiments conducted to solve major crimes. In the crime lab we will analyze, compare, and identify the clues needed in order to catch the criminal. Come join the CSI team!
